TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

In accordance with the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Blanche Bridal (herein referred to as ‘Blanche’) promises product and service assurance when you order a made-to-order, made-to-measure, or custom-made merchandise. Once payment is made, Blanche will begin the fabric sourcing and construction process of the merchandise in our workshop overseas as per the agreement and deliver with a reasonable time for fittings and alterations before your wedding.

made-to-order gowns 

Made-to-order products are non-refundable as they are customized products individually made for you based on the provided measurements. Blanche made-to-order bridal gowns are made from fabrics produced in different batches, hence irregularities and slight color variations are common and are not considered defective. Blanche products are handmade, therefore slight variations from the sample may occur.

ORDERING

We handcraft your made-to-order gown based on the size and measurement provided by you.  Your made-to-order gown will be made according to the description and no further changes can be accepted after the order is placed.

Measurement and sizing

Blanche recommends getting professionally measured by us or a local seamstress of your choice. Please note that your exact measurements will not be used to create the dress. A standard size will be chosen for you based on your measurements.

Please bear in mind Blanche is not responsible for the accuracy of measurements provided to us, the size of your choice or fluctuations in your measurements after the order is placed.

Payment

Full payment must be made upfront for all made-to-order gowns or accessories as we make your gown from scratch.

Alterations/FITTING

Made-to-order gowns will require alterations here at Blanche or a local seamstress to achieve your desired fit, so please budget for this. Usually, 1-2 fitting appointments will be needed to assess the alterations needed.

SHIPPING

For international orders, Blanche usually uses standard DHL/UPS courier services for deliveries although this is subject to change. Blanche aims to get your order delivered to you approximately 2 months before your wedding date and will notify you of the delivery tracking number as soon as it becomes available. Blanche is not responsible for delays due to events such as an act of God that is beyond our control. Duties/Tax

Your international order may be subject to duties/taxes/fees by your local customs authority. You are responsible for paying duties/taxes/fees that are levied based on the type, value, and destination of the merchandise. Blanche is unable to provide an estimate of this cost as this varies from state to state so we advise you to check with your local customs authority.

In the unfortunate event that your wedding is canceled, we will be unable to cancel or refund your order.

CUSTOM-MADE GOWNS (ONLY AVAILABLE IN-STORE)

 

CustomizationS / AlteratioNS

For major customizations or alterations, the structure of your dress may have to be altered, and it may not be possible to revert it back to the original form. In such cases, we will seek your consent before commencing work. Customization and alteration fees must be paid in full before service commences and is non-refundable.

  

Custom-made merchandise

The construction of merchandise will start once a minimum deposit of 80% of the total order price is received. (Accessory orders require payment in full). Our bridal gowns are made from high-quality natural fabrics. Irregularities and slight color variations are common in natural fabrics and are not considered defective. These variations cannot be controlled by Blanche. Merchandise is handmade, therefore slight variations from the sample can occur. Blanche is not liable for any items once they have left our premises so please check the merchandise carefully. You must notify Blanche a minimum of 7 business days in advance of when you intend to pick up your gown.

 

Confirmation and sizing

We agree to place your special order and notify you of the approximate delivery date from the workshop as soon as it becomes available. Blanche is not responsible for delays due to events beyond our control or for variation in size and dye lots, although these issues are not anticipated. We are not responsible for the accuracy of measurements provided to us by external sources, the size of your choice or fluctuations in your measurements after the order is placed. In such events, the bride is responsible for the cost involved in alterations. Custom-made gowns may require several fittings and alterations to achieve the desired fit.

 

Fitting appointments

Fitting appointments are not available on Saturdays as this day is reserved for consultations and is usually very busy. As additional time and individual attention are required for fitting appointments, we can only perform fittings on Mondays to Fridays.

Storage

Upon the arrival of your merchandise, you will be notified. All balances must be settled upon the agreed pickup date. If your merchandise is not picked up upon final fitting, a storage fee of $15 per week will be charged due to limited storage space.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations within 7 days of your order will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the full price. Cancellation after 7 days will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, and in some cases, the balance.

Should your wedding or event be canceled after the merchandise has been ordered, it remains your responsibility to pick up the item(s) upon its arrival at our bridal shop. If the merchandise is not picked up within 30 days, it will be forfeited to Blanche. Our services have been rendered and your customized merchandise may have been produced by the time of cancellation.

Cleaning

Should your gown become soiled in any way, it is your responsibility to have the gown cleaned. Blanche suggests being careful with your gown during your wedding/portraits to prevent stains. Blanche is not responsible for stains on merchandise due to lotions, medications, self-tanners, perspiration, etc. that may be transferable when wearing the garment. Blanche may recommend a professional dry cleaner for your convenience but Blanche in no way endorses this company.
