How did he propose?
We had an early morning breakfast with my sisters and brother-in-law and then planned to spend the day on the beach. We walked to the end of the beach and he suddenly got down on one knee and proposed. I wasn’t expecting it even though we had been together for about 8 years so I was really surprised!
How did the wedding planning start?
First thing I did was lock down a venue and then I went straight into looking for my wedding gown.
What made you choose Blanche bridal for your gown?
A friend of mine drove passed Blanche almost every day and she really encouraged me to go in, which ended up being perfect because I only had to try 2 dresses in your store including my gown!
What was your favourite moment when purchasing your gown at Blanche Bridal?
My favourite was the first time I tried my gown and saw myself in the mirror. It was a perfect moment as it was everything I dreamed of as a little girl!
Did you have a theme or look in mind for your wedding?
I wanted to go for a look that was modern, elegant and timeless – so we opted for a white and pure looking theme with lots of floral decorations.
Any funny stories about the wedding day you’d like to share?
My husband is usually very punctual and I’m usually the one who is late. Naturally, I expected this for our wedding day. However, while the bridal party and I spent hours getting ready my husband used the opportunity to do thing like play basketball and just generally ‘hang out with the boys’. This resulted in the
We also had another limousine mishap before taking photos and then leaving to the reception, when one of the limo that was meant to take us totally broke down and was held together by a brick. Lucky the car company sent over a great replacement and everything ended up being perfect.
Was your wedding experience everything you dreamed of?
My dress was exactly what I had dreamed it would be, even as a little girl. However, most importantly I got to marry the man of my dreams. The wedding was heartfelt and sentimental and that’s all I ever wanted it to be, even if everything went wrong I got to marry the love of my life.
